Marathon Man

Michael Stewart is addicted to running. More precisely, he's addicted to marathons. The passion started 40 years ago when he lied about his age to compete in what is now the City of Wellington Marathon. That was back in 1970. Now at age 58, he has hit the pavement in 480 marathons. Michael has just arrived in Invercargill to compete in his 481st race, the Southland Marathon on Sunday. He's aiming to run in 500 marathons by the time he turns 60.
