A debt of gratitude has now been repaid to a family in France, who risked their lives during the Second World War, to hide a New Zealand pilot from German soldiers. Terry Kearins, was shot down over Northern France in July, 1943. Badly burned, the Forgez family took Kearins in, treated his wounds, and hid him from German soldiers who often raided the farmhouse.
