Our Changing World - Scientific Glassblowing

Working with flames reaching 2200 degrees Celcius, scientific glassblowers have a scorcher of a job. But with only ten or so scientific glassblowers in New Zealand, and no new ones being trained up, the profession is somewhat of a dying art. Ruth Beran visits Mike Wadsworth in the basement of the Chemistry building at the University of Auckland, who shows her some glassblowing in action.
