Ashburton Station

The Ashburton District council has turned down the latest proposal to save the historic Ashburton Railway Station from demolition. But it's not the end of the line yet for the 91-year-old Landmark. Today members of the Heritage Trust are launching a public campaign to raise money to buy the wooden building that has seen soldiers home from war and children from boarding school.
