Last year it was 'climate porn' and 'toxic debt'; this year it's 'besties' and 'boyzillians', just 2 of the 5,000 new words to make the cut in the latest edition of the Macquarie Dictionary. The Australian dictionary's fifth edition has been in the making for the past five years, and hits bookshops this week. Editor Susan Butler says the tome contains colloquialisms she's never come across before, but which Australian kids are introducing to the everyday vernacular.
