The NZ Firefighters' Calendar has been heating up kiwi walls since 1990 and over the years has raised over $800,000 for the Child Cancer Foundation.
The calendar still exists, but recent editions have swapped out sexy for adorable.
Columnist Verity Johnson lamented the loss in a recent opinion piece and received plenty of support.
