A crowd funding effort is underway to get Wellington's cat cafe back and better than it was before.
Neko Ngeru has bought a two storey building in Lower Hutt to home their rescue cats and caretakers with plans for a cat cafe to open on the first floor.
There have been a few fish hooks in the plans by Ken and Richelle Okada to get their building renovated and they're hopeful their fund raising efforts on pledgeme will help to get the construction underway.
