Today's Bookmarks guest is celebrating his 25th anniversary on New Zealand's coffee scene.
Bernard Smith started Vivace Espresso roastery and cafe in Christchurch in 1997 just when the industry was starting to blossom into the national obsession it is today.
The company is now one of the only remaining locally-owned coffee businesses still operating.
Bernard talks to Jesse about why that is and shares what he enjoys reading, watching and listening to in his down time.
