New archaeological research has revealed details about how humans and kurī, Aotearoa's first dog, interacted more than 700 years ago. There has been a paucity of documentary evidence about these hounds but we're finding out more all of the time. Patricia Pillay, a doctoral student in archaeology in the Faculty of Arts at Auckland University has been scraping teeth to find out more.
