As you may have heard, there has been a major and very public fallout in the National Party. Late last night, National Party leader Judith Collins announced in a press release that Simon Bridges has been dumped from the shadow cabinet and demoted to the backbenches. She accused her National colleague (and former Party leader) of making crude remarks to Waitaki MP Jacqui Dean in front of other National MPs at a party function five years ago. The Party has been in a caucus meeting since nine this morning. Jesse is joined by Auckland University political scientist and political commentator, Lara Greaves.
