Lockdown is harder for people with histories of mental illness

Going through a lockdown is far tougher for those already diagnosed with a mental illness in Aotearoa.

That's according to new research out of the University of Otago which looked at the impact of last year's Covid-19 lockdown on 600 New Zealanders who have a mental illness diagnosis.

Dr Caroline Bell from the University of Otago's Department of Psychological Medicine talks to Jesse about what they have discovered.
