Celebrating Sir Ernest Rutherford's 150th birthday

New Zealand's first Nobel Laureate, Sir Ernest Rutherford was born on this day back in 1871.

To celebrate the 150 years since he was born here in Brightwater, near Nelson, Jesse speaks to Professor David Hutchison, the director of the Dodd Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies.

He explains just how significant Sir Ernest's scientific breakthroughs have been for science.
