Making Christmas celebrations a waste-free occasion

What was originally a small project to sell waste-free Christmas gift bags at a Wanaka market, now employs Muslim refugee seamstresses in Auckland to make reusable Christmas crackers.

Former UN aid worker and founder of Waste Free Celebrations, Emma Conyngham. She talks to Jesse about their work and how unusual her sewers find our annual tradition!
