Uawa Exhibition highlighting forestry damage on the East Coast

From Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan, 1:44 pm on 15 October 2020

Damage to Uawa beach in Tolaga Bay caused by the forestry industry is the focus of an exhibition opening at Page Galleries in Wellington today.

Artist John Walsh hopes his work will draw attention to the environmental devastation the intensive pine forestry industry is causing and prompt law changes to stop the practices that are behind the problem.

He talks to Jesse about why he's so passionate about protecting the place where he grew up.
