Protest at dawn to protect 100-year-old trees

From Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan, 1:39 pm on 16 September 2020

Protesters gathered at dawn today in the Auckland suburb of Avondale as part of ongoing efforts to protect 100-year-old native trees from felling.

Forty-six trees on the corner of Canal Road and Wairau Avenue are due to go, after the section was sold to developers to build houses.

Jesse speaks to Zane Wedding, from the Save Canal Road Native Trees group.
