Crimes NZ: The Napier Siege

From Afternoons, 2:25 pm on 20 August 2020

The Napier siege was a tense three-day stand-off that led to the fatal shooting of Constable Len Snee, in May 2009. Constable Snee was the 29th police officer killed in the line of duty in New Zealand.   The man barricaded in his house, who eventually took his own life, was Jan Molenaar.  Hawke's Bay Today senior reporter Doug Laing covered the entire event and joins Jesse to remember the tense stand-off..
