Why Stuff is stopping its activity on Facebook and Instagram

From Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan, 1:15 pm on 6 July 2020

The news website Stuff is suspending all of its activity on Facebook and Facebook-owned properties including Instagram.

Stuff will no longer share articles on any of the pages it holds on these platforms, but users are still free to do so themselves.

The website had already stopped advertising on Facebook after the March 15 attacks were livestreamed on the platform.

Jesse speaks to Stuff editor Patrick Crewdson about why this decision was made.

Why aren't masses of Facebook users deleting the app after massive security and data privacy breaches?
