Tapu te Ranga Marae documentary hitting screens

From Afternoons, 1:33 pm on 13 March 2020

In June last year the Tapu te Ranga Marae caught fire and the main building burnt to the ground. The marae has been an integral part of Wellington for decades and was a lifelong project for Bruce Stewart, who passed away in 2017.

Artist and film maker Ness Patea has been involved with the urban marae project for almost 20 years and over that period has been making a documentary about the place and the people. It's screening at the Māoriland Film Festival in Ōtaki in March.
