In the mountains of Kashmir the Ladakhi people live almost completely self sufficiently high above the world below. However, they are a very long way away from medical attention. The Ladakh Medical Aid Society raises funds to send a small medical team once a year up in to the mountains offer free medical advice and assistance.
They're having a fundraising dinner next week at Ima Cuisine in Auckland on Sunday the 23rd of February.
To tell us more about the Ladakhi people and the work of the society is Mary Ann Rowland.
