As a professor of film and cultural studies at London's Kingston University, he has analyzed David Bowie as a superfan and an academic. He says Bowie is so much more than a space oddity, he is someone worth emulating for his tenacity, and self-belief. Professor Brooker's new book is called Why Bowie Matters.
