Commemorating Long Tan Day

From Afternoons, 1:31 pm on 16 August 2019

This Sunday is the anniversary of the battle of Long Tan in the American Vietnamese War. It was a huge battle for all sides of the war and ANZAC troops were heavily involved.

The 18th of August has become known as Long Tan day to commemorate the soldiers who served in that conflict. Historian and podcaster Mat McLachlan joins us from Sydney to discuss the significance of the battle and the contested memories of the conflict.
