When we first set foot on the moon,  50 years ago this Sunday, there was no live TV coverage of the momentous event in New Zealand. There was no Facebook live feed, and we weren't Tweeting our reactions to the world either.

Instead, Kiwis were glued to their transistor radios. Today, Sarah Johnston from the Sound Archives of Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision looks  back at how we heard the Moon landing.
