Yesterday we talked to AUT tourism professor Michael Lueck about the cruise ship industry, which professor Lueck says is unconscionable these days because of its dreadful environmental record.
We got a torrent of feedback on the story - including a message from Dale, who lives in the small town of Akaroa, near Christchurch, and says cruise ships are having a big effect on marine life in the area.
We have a chat to Dale about the changes she's observed over the years.
Then we talk to Craig Harris, the managing director of McKay Shipping Limited, who says there's a lot of misinformation floating around about the industry, and wants to set the record straight.
