RNZ's acting digital editor, Megan Whelan, was chosen in a group of just 28 women leaders in media from around the world to attend a Poynter media leadership academy.
There were more than 600 applicants for a place at the academy and Megan was able to rub shoulders with editors from news organisations like the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, POLITICO and WIRED.
It was in Florida last week and she's back now to tell us what she learned.
