Today several foster parents have been given awards for their work at a ceremony in Wellington today.
Malcolm and Brenda Yorston have been foster carers for more than 35 years and in that time have had more than 100 children come through their home.
Malcolm tells us why the couple have devoted their lives to caring for children, and what changes he would like to see in the foster care system.
