Last year Guy Wishart won the Tui for Best Folk Album of the Year for West By North.
His latest project though, is more about helping other musicians.
He's set up a not for profit music venue, Kumeu Live, where audiences pay just 20 dollars to get in and can bring their own drinks, and the artists who perform take 80 percent of the door takings.
