More than 40,000 people have signed a petition to block development of the largest production bottling plant in the southern hemisphere.

NZ Pure Blue Springs' wants to extract and export millions of litres a day from the Putaruru Blue Springs in the Waihou River.

In 2016 SumOfUs garnered enough public pressure to block NZ Pure Blue Springs from acquiring purchase rights to extract and export 1.4 billion litres of water a year in Ashburton. And the organisation is behind this latest petition. Marianne Elliott is the spokesperson to Action Station.
