The Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Maori Art Gallery has been given the green light after a significant grant from the New Zealand Lotteries Commission.

The grant of 3.5 million dollars has pushed the fundraising for the project to 18.6 million dollars - which is just shy of the estimated 20.97 million estimated it needs for the build.

Whangarei Art Museum Trust's chairperson, Grant Faber, has been involved in making the building a reality - he's with Jesse to talk about what the latest grants means for the project.
