Burning Man – Party like it’s the end of the world

From Afternoons, 3:23 pm on 24 November 2016

Kiwi expat Jonathan Clark has photographed the Burning Man festival for years, and has a showing of some of his incredible images in Auckland this weekend.

Clark is a San Francisco resident, film-maker, photographer, globe-trotter, and Burning Man devotee.

He has attended the festival in the Nevada desert many times where he takes photos of the incredible sights.

About 70,000 people brave the elements for one week and “party like it’s the end of the world”.

“And that party comes in many many different forms. Basically it is a party of radical self expression,” Clark says.

“Literally anything goes inside Burning Man as long as you are honouring the people and the environment.”

Clark’s currently back in New Zealand ahead a showing of his Burning Man works on Sunday at the Dog Bollix in Auckland.
