Our Great New Zealand Album today was released on August 27th 2000. It was the debut from a Christchurch quartet and the only album by a Kiwi act to top the sales chart that year. It went on to quickly achieve triple platinum status and delivered 4 top 20 singles. At the New Zealand music awards, the following year, the band took out three top honors; Album of the year, Group of the year and Top male vocalist for lead singer Nathan King.
