King and Johnny Cash is a name that is not as easily recognized :Sam Phillips. He discovered the talent, and developed the sound that black blues artists started and white artists adapted. Music historian and journalist Peter Guralnick tells the story of the founder of Sun Records and his legacy in his book, Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock 'N' Roll.
