Fire Service Review - Derek Best

If you aren't happy with the way the fire service is serving you and your community, now's the time to speak up about it. Today the government released a discussion paper outlining what's wrong with the service, and how it could change. We have six weeks to make our own submissions on it. This discussion paper is itself a response to the 2012 Fire Review Panel, which called for reform. One person who agrees the service needs an overhaul is Derek Best, national secretary of the Professional Firefighters Union.
