The Queen's Speech - Robert Hardman

From Afternoons, 2:10 pm on 24 December 2014

It is a Christmas tradition in its 82nd year. It started in 1932 with the words "I speak now from my home and from my heart to you all". That was King George the Fifth's introduction to the first Royal Christmas message. Queen Elizabeth the second has recorded her message, and as usual New Zealand will be the first country in the Commonwealth to broadcast it. Robert Hardman is an observer of the monarchy, author of Our Queen and writer for the Daily Mail Online. Radio New Zealand will be broadcasting the Queen's Message at 6:06 pm on Christmas Day.
