Today our feature album is 'Chaka' by Chaka Khan. The debut solo album by American R&B/funk singer born Yvette Marie Stevens in March 1953 and released on the Warner Bros. Records label in 1978.Yvette Stevens grew up in the rough Southside projects of Chicago, attributing her love of music to her grandmother, who introduced her to jazz music as a child.
