1:15 Groundbreaking step toward earthquake preparedness
New Zealand is known has one of the most seismically active countries on the planet, however, there's no official early warning system in place.
It's something that shocked Dr Chanthujan Chandrakumar, who has led a team of Massey University researchers to create a system that is a groundbreaking step toward earthquake preparedness.
He speaks to Jesse about creating the Earthquake Early Warning System, which is the first real-time trial of a community-based EEWS in New Zealand.

1:25 Auckland teen heads to Cambridge University
An Auckland teenager is one of a small group of international students to be accepted to study at Cambridge University this year.
He's also the only international student to be offered a place at Peterhouse College, which is the oldest of the Cambridge colleges, founded 1284.
Seventeen-year-old Kevin Guo from Mairangi Bay heads to the UK in September and chats to Jesse about his exciting future.

1:35 Sniffing out crime at the border
Nine new detector dog handlers and their dogs are joining crime-fighting efforts and border security in both Aotearoa and into the Pacific.
They have recently graduated from the Dog Training Centre at Trentham.
The dogs can sniff out not only drugs and banned goods, but also firearms, explosives and cash.
Chief Customs Officer for the Pacific Detector Dog Programme, Dave Huff, tells Jesse all about it.
