1:10 First song: Shayne Carter, Pendulum

Today's first song is from a new album filled with well known tracks from Shayne Carter.

It was recorded and produced by RNZ and our very talented Andre Upston over three nights in Auckland at the Hollywood.

Shayne talks to Jesse about making the album and plays one of the tracks.

1:15 Extending in fertility in women research funding

Like many things in life -there's a big disparity between men and women - even when it comes to reproductive ageing!

Researchers at Otago University have just been given a grant to look at whether that gap can be closed by increasing the the longevity of reproductivity in women.

The nearly 337 thousand dollars to investigate extending this has come from the prestigious Global Consortium for Reproductive Longevity and Equity.

Dr Mike Garratt's part of the team doing the work, he speaks to Jesse.

1:25  Wine from foraged ingredients

When Wellington lads Jesse Philips and Cosmo Hawke decided to make their own wine from locally sourced ingredients they soon realised there was a distinct lack of grapes available in the capital.

So, they branched out...their small batch organic wine business Fruit Cru is made entirely from locally sourced and foraged fruit.

Cosmo speaks to Jesse.

1:35 Aboriginal rapper in Aotearoa

Kobie Dee is a 25-year-old indigenous Aboriginal Australian rapper, and he's just released a really powerful new single featuring Aotearoa's own Stan Walker.

The song is called 'Father's Eyes', which is all about breaking the familial cycles that many indigenous groups face, in this case with a particular focus on fatherhood.

A video featuring Kobie and Stan was also released on Tuesday and you can see that on YouTube right now.

Kobie speaks to Jesse about his music.
