1:20 Participants wanted for survey on rare health disorders

People living with rare health disorders are being asked to take part in a nationwide survey.

The goal is to find out how many people are living with these disorders, and what they are. 

Jesse speaks to Lisa Foster, the chief executive of Rare Disorders NZ.

Fish And ChipsSausages and Custard, School is Number One... just some of the catchy tunes sung by school kids in the 90s and early 00s.

Millennials will be pleased to know the songs have been re-released in a digital format - just in time for a new generation of kids to start practising "Christmas on the Beach" 

Kiwi Kidsongs albums were sent out to primary schools for about 20 years until funding was cut in 2010. 

Tim Carson has been lobbying the government to bring them back and he talks to Jesse about the importance of local music in schools.

On the show yesterday we talked about a short film called Curryfication - which explores Auckland's Indian food scene.

A listener got in touch to tell us about a community group in the suburb of Sandringham. They know a lot about the local food history and they're also working on a 'self-directed walk' app.

We hear from Joanne Harland, community facilitator from the organisation SPiCE - which stands for the Sandringham Project in Community Empowerment.
