1:20 NZ Live - Linzee Inkster

Our New Zealand Live guest is Kapiti Coast singer/songwriter, Linzee Inkster. A few weeks a go we played on of her songs on the programme and that prompted us to get in touch and invite her to play live. Though initially a reluctant performer, with a bit of arm twisting we were successful and so today on New Zealand Live we are happy to have Linzee Inkster in the studio. Today Linzee is performing with her band - Linzee and the Leaf Blowers - playing music from her debut album 'Love Blood'.

2:10 Feature stories - Love-Me-Not - Lesley Elliott

Ever since her daughter was murdered, Lesley Elliott has wanted to do something about domestic violence. In 2008, her daughter Sophie was killed in her Dunedin home by her boyfriend Clayton Weatherston. Lesley set up the Sophie Elliott Foundation, which has been working on a programme for schools. And now, after a trial period, the Love-Me-Not programme has had its official launch.

2:20 New Zealand Society - Wet plate collodion photography - Brian Scadden

Brian Scadden’s passion is old-school craft photography on cameras dating as early as the mid-19th century – some of which he designs and builds himself. These cameras, which can weigh up to 60kgs, predate film – and the images are captured instead on a plate of glass. Amelia Nurse visits him at his portable workshop in the Wairarapa for a demonstration.
