The Plastiki is no ordinary catamaran. It's a message in 12-thousand plastic bottles and has nearly finished it's 11 thousand nautical mile journey from Sausalito California to Sydney where it's due to arrive on Sunday. David de Rothschild, a banking heir and environmental daredevil, set off on this adventure to draw attention to the tons of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. Only seven percent of plastic waste is recycled.

By day,it's a typical garage that stores the lawn mower and wheel barrow and all the things you should really throw away. But by night Greg Cayford's Christchurch garage is transformed into the starting line for the Tour de France. Called the Tour de Garage, Greg records each stage of the Tour de France and every night his cycling mates come over to watch and ride their stationary bikes attached to wind trainers. The Tour de Garage cyclists are gearing up for the finish on Monday night.
