There are many unsung heros - and those involved in search and rescue coastguard organisations are certainly among them. In New Zealand, most do it for no financial gain at all. British-based Andrew Flanagan is a longtime member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in the UK, and he's been there and done that with rescue involvement on the rugged coasts of Great Britain and Ireland. Andrew became heavily involved in fundraising for his lifeboat station, Whitstable in the South East of England, and is now trying to help New Zealand's Coastguard in the financial area. He now plans to live in New Zealand permanently.
