“Within the Middle East anarchy is heaped upon anarchy in a cascade of violence which defies rational outside understanding. Islam confronts devastating religious violence. The anarchy can, in the end, only be subdued through concerted efforts by political and religious leaders within the region itself and in the wider Islamic world. Radio New Zealand recorded a public forum on Wednesday 25 February, held at Parliament’s Grand Hall and organised by Diplosphere. Diplosphere is an independent, non-partisan organisation which aims to promote independent thinking and diplomacy and broaden the public debate on International Affairs.
