Solomon Islands are none from two in their international debut at the Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation tournament, but not without plaudits.
Floorball is similar to hockey but played indoors.
Solomon Islands player Nyrick Vuna was named most valuable player after his side's 10-2 loss against New Zealand on Wednesday.
"First of all I'd like to thank God, for his strength, and also I feel proud not for me but for my team-mates - without them, I didn't achieve this MVP," he said.
He said it's a big challenge facing more experienced teams, but it's a privilege to be competing at the tournament.
"Floorball is a new growing sport in the country. Like we just started, right now we are here.
"It's a big experience for us Solomon boys."
They lost their first match to the Philippines 10-1, and play China on Friday night.
The event is a qualifier for the 2026 world championships.

International Floorball Federation event manager Sarah Mitchell said with the growth in the Asia Oceania region, they will be looking to have some more events to continue to help its development.
"This is a really important region and New Zealand actually plays a really important role here with the Pacific countries and the island countries in particular.
"For example, with Solomon Islands, they've been really supportive of helping with their development, and whether that's with expertise or with equipment, that's a really important role that we rely on the developed countries to then help the smaller countries."
