The Fiji Bati are set to be boosted by NRL players for rugby league's Pacific Championships.
Fiji National Rugby League will announce their squad to challenge for the Pacific Bowl, against Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea, soon.
Wests Tigers' Fainu brothers, Samuela and Sione, as well as Jahream Bula, Sunia Turuva and rookie playmaker Joese Lanyon, are set to be in it.
Sydney Roosters winger Mark Nawaqanitawase has told Bati coach Wise Kativerata that he will play for Fiji if he is not selected by the Kangaroos to go to England.
League
Cook Islands will have some of their NRL players available to play a 2026 League World Cup qualifying match against South Africa in November.
Sharks centre KL Iro, Rabbitohs prop Davvy Moale and Knights utility Mason Teague are tipped to bring their NRL experience.
Broncos forwards Brendan Piakura and Xavier Willison could also be in the Cooks' squad.

Netball
Cook Islands finished the best of the Pacific islands at the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar.
Cook Islands went down to Malawi 61-54 in their last match and ended the event at eighth place.
Samoa beat Wales 67-53 to claim 9th spot, while Fiji proved too strong for Malaysia 56-48, finishing 11th overall.
Tonga defeated Singapore 50-47 to finish 13th.
Australia defeated New Zealand 63-48 in the final.
Olympics
Fijian swimmer Matelita Buadromo has been added to the International Olympic Committee's 'Believe in Sport' campaign as an ambassador.
Buadromo competed in London in 2012 and Rio in 2016.
Inside the Games reported the campaign aims to help spread awareness of competition manipulation and maintain the spirit and integrity of sport.
Buadromo is one of 10 in the latest group of ambassadors, who will engage their peers in activations at major events, including the Olympics, and via webinars and workshops.
Rugby
Australian rugby's schoolboys teams had the better off their Fijian and New Zealand counterparts in two different matches on home soil on Monday.
The Australia Under18s thrashed the New Zealand Secondary Schools with a thumping 81-48 win in Canberra.
In another game at Vikings Park, the Australia School Boys thumped the Fiji Under-18 School Boys team 61-26.
All four teams will also be in action again on Saturday in the second round of matches.
