Manu Samoa flanker Taleni Sua will miss Monday's Pacific Nations Cup fifth-place playoff match against the United States, which also doubles as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup.

This follows his sending-off during the Samoa/Fiji match in Rotorua.

World Rugby said the Independent Foul Play Review Committee noted that Sua was yellow-carded twice in the match for foul play offences, which amounted to a red card.

Manu Samoa will meet USA in Denver at 6.35am Monday New Zealand time, with the winner qualifying for the 2027 World Cup in Australia.

The loser goes into a repecharge playoff for a last chance to qualify for the world meet.

The matches will be held at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium.

Netball Australia said 10 players aged under 23 have been named in the Pathways team.
