Health authorities in Samoa are reporting more new cases of Covid-19 at the border.
All of the positive cases are being managed and controlled in quarantine. Currently there is no evidence of a community transmission according to Health officials.
The director general of health Dr Take Naseri has confirmed the latest six cases were passengers on the repatriation flight that arrived from Brisbane last week.
This brings the total number of cases for Samoa to 26. Twenty-one passengers from the Brisbane flight and five nurses who have been caring for them.
The PCR tests for the rest of those in quarantine all returned negative.
The Samoa government has extended the nationwide lockdown until 6pm on Thursday and Cabinet has cancelled all repatriation flights until further notice.
