CNMI vaccination rate highest in US

The US Centers for Disease Control says the Northern Marianas is leading the nation in vaccination rates as 20 percent of its population in now fully vaccinated.

According to the CNMI delegate to the US Congress Gregorio Kilili Sablan, by the end of the month more than 31,000 residents could be fully immunised.

A further 21,000 vaccine doses are expected to be delivered this week.

Mr Sablan also said the US Federal Emergency Management Assistance will help with funeral costs related to Covid-19 deaths.

The pandemic claimed two lives in the CNMI.
