Another person had died from Covid-19 in French Polynesia, bringing the territory's today pandemic death toll to 76.
As well as the fatal case there have been 187 new infections recorded over the last 24 hours.
70 people are currently in hospital with 24 of them in intensive care.
Today's numbers bring the territory's total number of people infected by Covid-19 since testing began in March to 14,559.
All but 62 of these cases were detected after the borders were reopened in July and mandatory quarantine requirements were abolished in an effort to boost tourism and reignite the economy.
