The Northern Marianas now has 104 Covid-19 cases after a passenger from Guam tested positive for the coronavirus over the weekend.
The person was identified by travel screening and confirmed diagnosis through fifth-day testing.
The individual has been safely in quarantine and was moved to the designated isolation area for monitoring at the Kanoa Resort Alternative Care Site.
Out of the 104 cases in the CNMI, 78 are from incoming passengers.
36 of those are from the US mainland, 31 from Guam, and 11 from other foreign countries.
The CNMI has now gone 97 days without any community transmission.
Its last local case was the 51st person confirmed positive in early August.
