The extension was the only change in the Amended Covid-19 Declaration issued by Governor Lolo Moliga.

Earlier Hawaiian flights were suspended until 30 November.

The latest declaration states that all flights will continue to be suspended for an additional 30 days with reconsideration slated for 31 December.

The last commercial flight by Hawaiian Air from Honolulu to Pago Pago was on 26 March.

There have been two medical flights to take patients and people from the US who were stranded in the territory but no repatriation flights into American Samoa, except for flights from Samoa.

At least 500 residents of the territory were reportedly stuck in Hawai'i and the US mainland.
