Northern Marianas Covid-19 cases up to 69

The Northern Marianas registered its 69th Covid-19 infection yesterday when a case was identified through traffic screening at the border.

The Covid-19 Taskforce said the person was now being monitored in a designated isolation area.

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation said says it has initiated contact tracing for the new confirmed case, including passengers on the same flight.

Of the total 69 cases, 43 have been identified through port of entry screening, 10 have been identified as community contacts, and 16 as known contacts.

Of the 43 confirmed cases through travel screening most have come from either the US mainland or Guam.
